let the children lead

A few things have been leading up to this post- I have been dreaming of a world that shares and brings joy to another even in simple ways. Most mornings when I walk the dog I see so many fruit trees laden with fruit as I live in what used to be a semi- rural area. I thought to myself wouldn’t it be lovely to have a fruit tree so that I could pop a basket out the front with “free please take some” sign. I love nothing more than cooking especially making jams and pickles for friends and neighbours. My mind time travelled and I began picturing how it looked if everyone did that, even if they had but one tree each. That may well just become the norm again. Infectious giving reciprocated with gratitude. That exact same week I saw someone actually did this with some lemons- they posted it on their social media account. It really made me smile with hope, as I felt if I am collectively manifesting it- surely others are as well.

I have found memories of road side home grown garden stalls with a donate bucket and a lemonade stall. What has happened to us? How did that change?

Yesterday in an eKa CIRCLE insta love video interview with Kristen from Nurtured Space and Raina from Raina’s Remedies we spoke about Conscious Parenting; a very important topic. During this lock down season it hasn’t been easy for working parents with a few kids; attempting to keep a schedule while at the same time limiting screen time.

Last night this was echoed in our online Unity Consciousness group by Britany a young mum struggling to get her toddler to leave the house. A flood of ideas came in. Cathy told us of how in her local area kids are painting rocks and leaving them for others to find. It gives them some craft time and a lot of fun bringing others joy hunting the hidden treasure. Education, communication and exercise repackaged. People helping people. Our little chat room was flood this morning with similar ideas today of other communities painting pegs and wooden spoons, placing them around local parks for other neighbourhood kids to find. I thought to myself YES! People can be amazing!! It is the simple things that make anothers day.

A little child WILL lead them… I am so hopeful as children know how to show real and selfless love.
