I shall attempt to mention a few types of fasting today but firstly one I have had great results practising. That is intermittent fasting. It is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of eating and fasting. It is something that I introduced quite some years ago and frankly I have never felt better. I have always dabbled with fasting for the spiritual journey, especially when praying for another that is seeking healing. Yet for my own health intermittent fasting has provided so many benefits. It is a 16/8 method. Don’t eat for 16 hours then eat your meals only during the 8 hour time period. This absolutely lifts your vibration, and it also helps you to remove stubborn belly fat. You will also feel less hungry.
The more I look at studying patterns- I realise that breakfast was introduced into the post war food pyramid to hard sell new crops of farmed wheat, corn, canola (rapeseed) and sugar. Honestly we have never been sicker nations than in the sedentary west. Anything that requires a television commercial to sell it; I would definitely be wary of. It is my belief that unless you are doing hard physical work you do not require to eat breakfast. The word itself is BREAKing up something that is good- the FAST. Science and industry linked hands to lie to us about this and made a lot of profit in that process.
Many ancient cultures practised fasting. You will also find it mentioned in Buddhism, Taoism, Jainism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. When I lived in Indonesia I was fascinated to find out that the ancient Javanese practised every thursday to fast and many still do to this day; shamanic traditions to seek the Spirit. Fasting is indeed a religio- spiritual practise. Yet the physical benefits of cells vibrating at a higher healing frequency cannot be ignored as it is fact. Literal regeneration of the physical body; allowing a much needed rest for the organs and an emptying of the colon. Most modern illness stems from disease in the colon and gut health; that includes many mental health issues.
Psychologically, fasting induces a borderline state making it susceptible to what the mind is fed. When we are intentional with prayer, meditation and plugging into the Spirit this is powerful as we hear better. There is no denying that fasting aids the etheric body to accumulate cosmic power, especially when done in conjunction with appropriate metaphysical exercises. Without physical nourishment the body is forced to acquire energy from other channels this is why it opens up conductivity. Fasting also purges out the worst of us to the surface, one becomes aware of any neurosis, anxiety, fear, rage or emotion that is surface level and requires transmutation. We can see this on a smaller scale when one becomes “hangry.”
As a spiritual discipline it teaches to refrain from greed and focus rather on being filled with the Divine Spirit; an activated light body. Nature hates a vacuum so it cannot be empty. To be a God eater is an advanced stage, and so pure fasting is not just about food. It is discipline in thoughts, feelings, actions- therefore entertainment, and social media are also part of the modern day spiritual practise. Don’t you love though that spiritual practices done with the right intention also bring healing to the mind and the body?
Another thing that can also be mentioned is sleep fasting which I have practised with incredible outcomes- this allows for the transmission of higher frequency messages. The strongest times being between 1 am to dawn. This was modelled by Yahushua, He most definitely did practise this. It is said that during these times impressions emanate from Divine Source. This is the famous quote of Christ saying the “spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.” You will notice at this time of the evening is when the body is at its physical weakest.
There are many types of fasts and not all are food abstinence. Some just cut out certain foods that are pleasant or stimulating. Whichever fast you choose set your intentions and prayers to sustain it.
Types of Fasting:
- abstain from food
- abstain from food & water
- juice fast
- intermittent fasting
- technology fast
- sleep fast
- fast from anything stimulating- foods, caffeine, alcohol, sex, entertainment, speaking, patterns of thinking
All the best with developing a deeper spiritual journey for your temple body. Fasting makes your cells vibrate so FAST you will actually feel it.
