Hello eKa CIRCLE
This week eKa CIRCLE was gifted a bucket of fresh aloe vera saved from landfill and I have been using it for various things to give out to the circle- how wonderful is that! You can also check out yesterday’s video for a “how to make” an aloe shampoo if that interests you. This morning however I thought I might try a smoothie using the gel, as aloe has so many great benefits for internal health as well as external. Aloe is completely alkaline which is indeed LIFE! The more alkaline food groups we can ingest each day the healthier we will be. Don’t forget to save the outer leaf to use on your skin to moisturise, heal and nourish. They will keep in the fridge for a little while in an airtight container.
Here are a few things aloe helps with for your health and wellbeing on the inside:
- Better digestion
- Balances internal PH
- Reduces stomach acidity
- Enhances brain function
- Packed with nutrients vit A, C, E, B 12,potassium,zinc, magnesium,
- Provides antioxidants
- Improves oral health and prevents infections
- Enhances immune system
- Keeps blood pressure and circulation regular
- Boosts heart health
- Normalises blood sugar levels
- Acts as a laxative
Aloe vera is indeed one wonder of the plant world and is well worth incorporating into your health and healing regime on the inside and on the outside! It is definitely worth planting one in your garden or in a pot if you don’t have a garden. They propagate easily, multiply quickly and grow well even indoors. The perfect plant to share with friends and family.
Please try my simple recipe that I made up this morning right after returning from my morning walk. I used ingredients that I had at home.
It tastes delicious I think even the kids will like this one. I do hope you enjoy it.
