Hi eKa CIRCLE
We are back on a roll now that my time is completely full time committed to the growth of the eKa CIRCLE community. Here we go with today’s recipe for what I have called “avco nourish facial cleanser” because my two base ingredients are organic avocado oil and my favourite coconut oil. Avocado oil is a little less stable than other oils, it does go rancid faster, so make smaller quantities or gift away some of your batch. For this reason don’t heat the avocado oil in your melt mix. Follow the recipe below and add it to your base mix off the heat. Keep in a cool dark place or refrigerate if you would like it to be assured of a longer shelf life. Think of things that don’t keep as a sure sign of goodness as organic matter does not keep for long periods. It is only when we add the nasties that these natural products last forever. The whole point of making your own beauty products is so that you know what is in them. The skin is the largest organ of the body and absorbs everything you give it to drink. Lets drink goodness and glow.
I have been using natural oil cleansers to wash my face and remove all traces of makeup for quite a while now. If you haven’t tried it yet give it a go. It is nourishing to the skin and you often won’t need a moisturizer after cleansing as it nourishes while removing all traces of dirt and makeup. Simply rub a small amount between your fingers and apply to your face, neck and eyes. Use a face washer with warm water or those lovely eco friendly face cleansing pads that can be laundered to save waste. Tone with a rosewater or some type of natural toner to close the pores of your skin.
This cleanser is scented with bergamot essential oil a soft floral note and rosemary essential oil which is a natural cleanser and antibacterial. The recipe is very easy to make even a novice will have success.
Hope you love it.
