It is time to share the results of my fire brew! I add what I had at home to the mix without following a classic recipe. This is a 100 % natural multivitamin shot in an apple cider vinegar steep. It actually tastes really good, I was pleasantly surprised!
I watered it down with a little filtered water to be kind to my tooth enamel and found I didn’t need the honey to sweeten it as expected, I drank 1 tbsp this morning as a small shot. I love any herbal natural remedy for good health and this one can be enjoyed all year round.
This is a great all round tonic for a healthy immunity. It will keep for a long while if you refrigerate after the initial 4 weeks of drawing. Some recipes grate the turmeric and ginger for a better flavour release.ย I didn’t for my first time making this as I was a little time poor and I always attempt to find a faster simpler way for ancient remedies to meld into busy family life.ย I will try grating for the next batch just to compare the results. For an extra kick – mix your shot of fire brew with a tsp of honey and a dash of cayenne pepper. Great for your circulation.
Choose fresh organic ingredients for optimum results and enjoy – preventative medicine is everything.
Fire Brew Tonic
1 root of fresh ginger, sliced or grated
1 root of fresh turmeric, sliced or grated
1 large red chilli
1 sprig of fresh rosemary
5 cloves garlic, peeled
2 lemons sliced
apple cider vinegar
Wash the ingredients well and pack into a sterilised jar. Top with the apple cider vinegar making sure all ingredients are submerged. Weight the ingredients down using a weight or a clean stone. (this time I used a skewer) Avoid anything metallic as it reacts with the vinegar. Cover the jar with a piece of muslin or calico and seal with a rubber band. Leave on the bench for 1 month to brew.
