Buenos Tardes eKa CIRCLE
Well it’s been an interesting trip locked down in Chile South America for this covid outbreak. With most facilities closed one gets to be very creative at using what you have to make do. I have certainly learnt how to be resourceful this trip.
Thought I would share a tip that I thought to do today to help my nasal passages that are suffering with the lack of humidity here compared to home in our humid climate. I recalled using a neti pot once. It is an ancient yogic technique to flush the nasal passages and it is really effective. So this morning I was washing my hair in the hotel with one of those little one use plastic shampoo bottles (see pic below) and I thought I could wash this out well with hot water and pop some warm salt water into it using salt from the cafe. It is recommended not to use iodised salt if possible. Tip your head forward and to one side. Squirt gently and water should go into one nostril and exit from the other. Yes the head tilt matters. Blow out any excess water and towel dry. I have included a video below of an expert demonstrating the technique if you should have any questions. Videoing my attempt would not have been so glamorous I can assure you.
It worked a treat! Even my ears feel clearer. Such a simple technique and so helpful. Obviously using a neti pot would be ideal but one has to do what they can for good health- thats the eKa way. Neti flush is great to assist with sinusitis, allergies, it improves clarity and sense of smell. Try it! Mother nature offers us the best remedies right at our fingertips with just a little knowledge put into practice.
