About a year ago I had a dream about creating some sensory videos and I dabbled in some research and experimentation for content into a field I know nothing about truthfully. I have been looking into the fascinating areas of brain training, particularly for children. It has became clear to me creative play is such an important part of brain stimulation and helps to improve memory and stimulates the growth of the cerebral cortex. There are many things parents are struggling with in this area with ADHD, autism, SPD and SPI on the increase. While I am not a fan of a complete labelling of anyone, especially children. I do love the fact that creativity can help calm a child, and assist in cognitive development.
For many without an expressive voice art is everything. The calm that colour, texture and creativity can bring should never be undervalued.
