Evening eKa CIRCLE
Just adding another simple recipe to make an all natural, all purpose cleaner for your home. A few weeks ago I made an orange apple cider vinegar that I posted on our eKa CIRCLE instagram account. A no waste way to use orange peels after making your juice- pop them into a glass jar with a screw top lid and top with a good quality apple cider vinegar. Set the jar in a dark cupboard for a week or two and then you can use for many cleaning solutions. The natural orange oils extract on standing and they are great for helping to cut grease and leave things smelling fresh. This cleaner will work well in bathrooms and kitchens on hard surfaces. Avoid metals that may rust and wood with this one. It is also a terrific freshener for carpets, mattresses and soft furnishings. Both vinegar and bicarbonate of soda help neutralise smells and kill any nasty bacteria. Its a great chemical free freshener for your pets bedding too! Colour test on a small spot before you go spraying wildly though, just to be safe.
I used an old window cleaner bottle just because I have it and I am attempting to recycle things instead of buying new. Any spray bottle will do though.

Orange Cider Vinegar
To make orange cider vinegarΒ (choose one with a mother for an all natural vinegar) place some orange peels into a recycled glass jar and top with apple cider vinegar. Place into a dark cupboard for 1-2 weeks and use as required. This a great addition to home made cleaning products. It is also delicious in salad dressings and sauces.
Orange and Eucalyptus Spray Cleaner
1/2 cup orange cider vinegar
1 tbs bicarbonate of soda (aluminium free)
1 tsp eucalyptus oil
15 drops lavender essential oil
filtered water
Pour the vinegar into a clean 600 ml capacity spray bottle, add the bicarbonate of soda. It will foam up initially, just allow it to settle then add the eucalyptus oil and lavender oil Top the bottle up with filtered water and use to clean any kitchen or bathroom hard surface. Avoid metals that may rust and wood.
