Hi eKa CIRCLE,
A few weeks ago I was gifted some amazing organic avocado oil (thank you Sarah) and some lavender essential oil from Tasmania (thank you Daphne). So I decided to combine the two and experiment making an avocado face cream. The end product turned out great! It’s a beautiful creamy texture and soaks into the skin quickly so that it doesn’t feel greasy like many face creams.
For my own supplies I always like to repurpose jars etc that I put my products into and then I package the remainder into eKa packaging to give away. It feels great to share and our eKa CIRCLE dream is to build a community of sharing knowledge and products. Lavender is a wonderful smell for relaxation and frankincense is a great anti wrinkle prevention.
A lot of home-made beauty products are actually very simple to prepare and it is a great way to avoid toxic chemicals and animal cruelty that happens in the beauty product industry. Don’t forget to let me know how you go trying this recipe.

M+E
Avocado Face Cream
300 mls shea butter
150 mls organic avocado oil
15 drops lavender essential oil
15 drops frankincense essential oil
Melt the shea butter in a glass measuring jug over simmering water. Remove from the heat and stir in the avocado oil. Transfer to a mixing bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours or until chilled. Using a hand mixer or stick blender whip the mixture until smooth and fluffy. Add the essential oils and place into airtight packaging. Store in a cool place out of the light.
