Morning eKa CIRCLE
Yesterday marked a pivotal day for both Ema and I as we returned home to Australia from our first eKa sourcing trip to the north island of New Zealand. As we both flew in completely synchronised to land back on Sydney soil at 9am (on separate flights!!) I could not help but feel the joy of our first trip had been forever marred by what happened on the 14th March in Christchurch. I had intended to update the circle of our first trip yesterday but my heart was way too heavy, a heavy heart grapples to find words. So in advance please forgive what cannot be written and hear the sentiment of what my soul is saying for the people of New Zealand.

Everything eKa CIRCLE was birthed to be inherently comes against the tragedy that has recently happened in Christchurch. Leanne’s photograph captures that so beautifully “ake ake kia kaha” which I am told means “always be strong” literally captures the essence of who kiwis are. Apparently the Maori Battalion had a song called this that they would sing before they went out to fight. Our dream is to fight against this type of act on a global scale, no more divide, we honestly believe that the circle has the answers! Not only for the healing of the land but for health and wellbeing for each other. Each culture has carefully guarded gems of truth. Imagine a world where we freely share our “truths” without fear of judgement or even worse persecution for differences.
This trip echoed the eKa sentiment in so many ways we were not only welcomed graciously by the land the Bay of Plenty lives up to its name!!! (see our fishing expedition so kindly led by Ray) but by the people. I (M) received hugs that made me cry and somehow shifted something in my soul, we received gifts that we will pass onto the eKa CIRCLE. Most of all we received knowledge and wisdom from people of light including some incredible Maori women that shared so generously with love. I for one (M) do not take that lightly. I am literally still trying to process all that was taught to me as they gave of their time and their incredible knowledge so freely. For that I AM forever grateful.
Love and light
