Good evening eKa CIRCLE
There are several characteristics to consider for a good healthy working relationship. While this may be stating the obvious to some – learned behaviours, trauma and neural pathways can block many of us from seeing what others can see clearly.
As eKa CIRCLE is all about trust without manipulation and control I thought we might jot done a few things to be mindful of? Sit with these in meditative reflection and be honest with yourself. We all have room for improvement. We cannot control how others may respond but we certainly can be responsible for our own reactions. It all starts with you.
*trust-is the foundation for all good working relationships. When we trust we can be open and honest without fear of judgement. There is no need to feel like you need to micro-manage. There is no fear of agreeing to disagree. Trust allows all to feel respected for an opinion.
*mindfulness- means taking responsibility for words and actions without allowing negative emotions to affect others around you. It takes a negative thought captive out of respect for another.
*mutual respect- embraces others opinions, talents and wisdom. It collectively says we have the solutions and the creative talent together. It sets ego aside.
*seek diversity- great decision making embraces diversity. People with great relationships accept others with all differences. This is love in action. Take time to consider others opinions without reacting negatively- together you have the solutions.
*good communication- the more effectively you communicate with others the more valuable your relationships will be. Communication is as much about listening as it is about speaking. Eye contact is important if it is acceptable in your culture. Being open and honest is everything setting theΒ critical spirit aside. Speak less and choose your words wisely. Should an offence arise acknowledge the hurt and listen to the point of view. A gentle answer has great power to diffuse a misunderstanding. Don’t always feel the need to have the final word. There is much wisdom in leaving some things unsaid.
light and love
